The Anderson Economic Group recently released a report that  analyzed the economic impact of several levels of transportation funding on the state’s economy.

The study outlines:

• The economic impact of three levels of road funding on the state’s economy
• The role Michigan’s roadways play in supporting the state’s key industries
• The impact road infrastructure has on the safety of and costs incurred by
Michigan residents

The study found that taking bold action to fund road repair and improvement – at a
level that would make infrastructure an asset to Michigan’s business climate – would
bring large economic and employment benefits to Michigan and far offset the cost of
the higher taxes necessary to support the expenditure.

Sign the Petition

The Michigan Transportation Team (MTT) recently announced an online petition drive for citizens who are tired of driving on pothole-riddled streets. Although the petition is non-binding and will not change the law, the names of petition signers will be presented to state policymakers to demonstrate the level of support in Michigan for investing in our state’s infrastructure.
